The Carol Stream Park District is a separate unit of local
government established in 1964 to provide park and recreation
areas, facilities, and programs for the leisure-time needs
of our residents. The District employs 38 full-time employees
and several hundred part-time and seasonal employees at various
times throughout the year.
The Carol Stream Park District is an Equal Opportunity Employer
where employment is based upon personal capabilities and
qualifications without discrimination because of race,
color, religion, sex, age, national origin, disability
or any other protected characteristic as established by
law.
The Park District receives hundreds of applications each
year. You will be contacted for an interview if you are
being considered for a position. If you do not hear from
us, your application will be kept on file for one year
and categorized by position. Should another position become
available which matches your qualifications, you may be
contacted at that time. After one year, applicants will
need to reapply.
Criminal Background Checks are conducted on all potential
employees as required by Illinois State Statute. Although
a criminal record will not automatically eliminate your eligibility,
there are certain convictions that will automatically disqualify
you from employment. All offers of employment are contingent
on a successful background check.
Physical Examinations by a medical doctor designated by
the District shall be required for all full-time employees
as a contingency to their employment. Anyone who is physically
or cognitively unable to perform the duties of the position
to which he or se seeks employment (as outlined by the job

be made without undue hardship to the District.
Drug Screening is mandatory on a pre-employment basis for
all full-time employees, and part-time employees required
to drive park district vehicles, or operating machinery.
