Simkus Recreation Center
Simkus Recreation Center is the hub of recreation within Carol Stream. The facility was named for Robert Simkus who was a Park Board Commissioner at the time that it was built and was instrumental in bringing a recreation center to Carol Stream.
The Center includes multiple classrooms for various programming throughout the year. It includes a large gymnasium that is used for programmed classes as well as open gym times and rentals.
This is the main location for registering for all courses the park district offers. It is also the home of The Fitness Center, Kids Korner, and Coral Cover Water Park.
The facility has many rooms that are available for rental, from our gym that will hold up to 400 guests to a small room for a birthday party either put on by the park district or hosted on your own.
