Hello to everyone! I am so excited to be on board as the new head coach for the Dolphins swim team. I am looking forward to this summer season and to many more to come. Let me first start by introducing myself and giving you all a personal background. My name is Susan Ciucci and I am currently attending Illinois State University. My major is health management with a minor in athletic coaching/training. I have been swimming competitively practically my whole life and am very passionate about swimming. I swam my freshman year at ISU and all four years of high school. I swam for Du Page Conference with the Itasca Dolphins for thirteen years. I started when I was six years old and swam until I graduated high school. I loved the experience and am so excited to once again be a part of the Conference. I am even more excited to be a part of the Dolphin family. My interest in coaching began when I started life guarding five years ago. I have taught swim lessons and stroke clinics for several different organizations including Swim America, the Elmhurst YMCA, BR RYALL YMCA, and Itasca and Bloomington park districts. I was the assistant coach for a Swim America swim team for two years and assisted with the Elmhurst Swim Team previous to that. I look forward to this summer and meeting all of you. I wish you all a good school year and I’ll see you all in May for stroke clinic!
I am finishing up my junior year at Loyola University Chicago. This is my third year as an assistant coach for the Carol Stream Dolphins swim team. Previously I swam for the Dolphins for eight years as well as the Great White Sharks and the West Chicago Sharks swim teams. I love swimming and I continue to swim as a hobby. I am very excited to be able to share my passion and talents with your younger swimmer(s). I look forward to meeting all of you this summer.
Hi! My name is Julie Dittberner and I am excited to be the assistant coach for the 2008 swim season. I have been a competitive swimmer since I was five and have swum for the Dolphins for 14 years. The Carol Stream swim team has been a part of my family’s life for the past 20 years. Both of my siblings were Dolphin swimmers and my parents have also been actively involved in swim team affairs. I am a full time student at Elgin Community College, and hope to transfer to Columbia College in Chicago to pursue a degree in Photography. I very much enjoy working with kids and look forward to teaching them swimming skills while encouraging them to do their best, I feel that this coming 2008 season will be successful and fun and I am looking forward to coaching your swimmer(s) and getting to know all the parents. I look forward to meeting you all in the spring!
