Gymnastics Classes

Our recreational gymnastics program is designed for girls and boys of all ages and abilities. We offer classes specific to each age/ gender/ and ability level. We group each class by level so gymnasts can progress at their own pace.

Our philosophy is to teach gymnastics as a lifetime sport. We want to develop each child’s personal qualities of discipline, movement, perseverance, courage and self-confidence, with a spirit of play and fun.

Open Gymnastics
Open Gymnastics gives gymnasts the opportunity to do concentrated work on a specific skill. This is not an instructional open gym, Open Gymnastic Staff is not scheduled for instructing or spotting purposes. A qualified gymnastic instructor is always on duty to supervise the safety of open gymnastic participants. Open Gymnastic participants must only work on skills they are able to successfully complete without a spotter. An adult parent/guardian MUST complete and sign a waiver for children under the age of 18 before they will be permitted to participate. You don't have to be a gymnast to enjoy a gymnastics birthday party. Carol Stream Park District gymnastics staff will guide you through a fun-filled adventure including gymnastics instruction and a challenging obstacle course.

Party Days & Times

Sundays
1 ½ Party Times: 12:30-2:00 pm or 2:30-4:00pm
2 Hour Party Times: 12:00-2:00 pm or 2:30-4:30pm

More information

Assistant coaches must have a basic knowledge of beginner gymnastics. They must be good with kids, enthusiastic, and reliable. Coaches and lead coaches must possess these qualities and have an advanced knowledge of gymnastics, proper teaching, and spotting techniques according to USAG guidelines. On the job training will be provided.

Springers of Carol Stream (SOCS)

Attend our team placement day on April 16 to become a member of the Springers for the new session starting in June 2010

The Springers of Carol Stream Park District is a year round gymnastics program. Placement for prospective team members is held once a year in the spring. Springers compete in the Illinois Park District Gymnastic Conference at the tumbling, compulsory, and optional levels. Must have Head Coach permission to register. Registration for SOCS is not available online.

Future Stars
Competes tumbling passes and level 2 Compulsories when skills are met.

Rising Stars
Competes tumbling passes and USAG levels 3 & 4 Compulsory routines. Level 4 gymnasts may have the opportunity to compete Optional routines as their skill level improves.

Shooting Stars
Competes USAG level 5 Compulsory and Optional routines.

Super Stars
Optional team competes USAG level 6 Compulsory and Optional routines.
