Cedar Waxwings can be identified by the distinctive crest on their heads, and green/yellow coloring. In summer you’re likely to spot them flying over streams  hunting for insects, also look for them in woodlands and gardens where there are fruiting trees or shrubs. Waxwings usually fly in flocks, so when you see one, you’re likely to see more.
