This Mourning Dove is a regular visitor to the parking lot of Simkus Recreation Center. These doves like open fields, parks, and lawns with many trees and shrubs. They can be identified by their eyes, which are dark with a small, black spot beneath. They usually forages on the ground, but occasionally in trees and shrubs.
