Festival Highlights
Eco-friendly Reusable Tote Bags
The first 500 visitors at this year’s Earth Day Festival will receive a free reusable tote bag courtesy of Flood Brothers Recycling.
Electronics Recycling – Cancelled
Due to the flooding in Carol Stream this week, the village of Carol Stream has decided to cancel the planned recycling event, and hopes to reschedule it later this year.

Rain Barrels
Repurposed rain barrels and composters are now available to pre-order for pick up at the Earth Day Festival on April 20. Home delivery and installation options are also available for an extra fee. The barrels are Food Quality High Density Poly Ethylene Barrels that were previously used to ship pickled food overseas. Recycled Tote Bag Workshop
Learn how to recycle your plastic grocery bags into “yarn” which can be crocheted into useful tote bags.
Additional activities include: solar energy demo, touch-a-tractor and Chiro One. Enjoy music by the 95.9FM the River throughout the event!

Sunrise Chevrolet of Glendale Heights will be offering the chance to test drive the hybrid electric Chevy Volt.
Kids Craft Corner
Come to the Carol Stream Park District booth and create a free birds’ nest kit to help your backyard feathered friends make their nests this spring. All materials are free.
Reptile Show
Meet lizards, snakes and other reptiles from Dave DiNaso’s Traveling World of Reptiles. Shows at 11:30am, 12:00pm and 12:30pm.
