Complete a Daily Wellness Check Prior to Participation

People with COVID-19 have had a wide range of symptoms – ranging from mild to severe illness. Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus. Participants, parents, members, and guests should review the following steps each day prior to visiting our facilities:

Do I feel sick?

Do I have a fever at or above 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit?

Do I have any COVID-19 symptoms?

  • Fever or chills
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Headache
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Sore throat
  • Congestion or runny nose
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Diarrhea

If you answer yes to any of the questions above, you can resume participation when all of the following are met:

  • You have had no fever for at least 24 hours without taking medication to reduce the fever during that time.
  • There is an improvement in your symptoms.
  • You get a COVID test with negative results.

The Carol Stream Park District may suspend participation immediately if you have COVID-19 related symptoms due to the potential risk of the virus being spread to other participants and staff.

If You Test Positive for COVID-19

  • Notify the Carol Stream Park District immediately.
  • Stay home and isolate for at least five full days.
    • Day 0 is your first day of symptoms or test date.
  • End isolation on day six if you are fever-free for 24 hours (without the use of fever-reducing medication) and your symptoms are improving OR if you had no symptoms.
    • If your symptoms are moderate to severe, isolate for at least 10 days.
  • Continue to wear a mask around others for five additional days.

Close Contact Exposures

Close contact exposures occur if you spent more than 15 cumulative minutes within 6 feet of someone who tested positive for COVID-19. The close contact period is considered within two days before the COVID-19 positive person’s symptoms began or two days before their test date, if asymptomatic.
