With a variety of fun activities each day, we’ll keep your child excited about the camp experience all summer long. Our counselors are great role models and their top priority is to provide a safe place for your child to spend their summer. You want the best for your child and our goal is to provide a summer filled with memories that will last a lifetime!
This year, we will have new social-distancing measures, smaller group sizes, healthy child standards, and more intense cleaning and sanitizing protocols in place.
The health and safety of our campers is paramount and we’re implementing a modified operations plan in accordance with the latest Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) guidelines. Although there will be changes to the traditional camp format, we’re optimistic about this opportunity to meet the needs of our community and want you to be part of it. The following highlights are subject to change based on further guidance from local, state, and federal authorities.
Program rooms will allow for up to ten kids. These “home bases” will limit contact between other campers and staff and will operate similarly to family members within a household. We’ll practice social-distancing and campers will be responsible for bringing a face covering for times when one may be necessary. There will be new camper expectations in order to maintain the safest environment possible.
Increased hand-washing and sanitizing will be required. Frequent cleaning and disinfecting of the building and supplies will be conducted. Campers will have their own supply kit for high-use items and the building will be sanitized nightly with a fogger.
Field trips, swimming, and on-site special events are currently not being offered. Instead, we’re planning a new and exciting schedule of activities that will include increased outdoor time (where the risks are lowest), park visits (although playgrounds will not be incorporated until access is allowed by the IDPH), virtual experiences, crafts, games, sports, and more.
We are implementing curb-side drop-off and pick-up. Only campers and staff will be allowed in the building. A quick wellness screening will be conducted upon arrival for the parent/guardian to verify that their camper is not exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 and has not been exposed to someone who is confirmed or suspected of having contracted COVID-19.
Registration will be required by Tuesday for the following week so proper plans can be made in advance for staff and the home base groups. Due to capacity restrictions, we recommend registering early. Maximum enrollment may be updated at any time, without notice.
Daily flex passes will not be available from 6/15-7/3. Enrollment for the remaining weeks is currently closed until we have more information on whether we can safely allow daily registrants. Hot lunch will also not be offered this year.
Additional information will be emailed to registrants the week of June 8.
