Carol Stream Park District Fountain View Recreation Center’s Indoor Pool is located at 910 N. Gary Ave, Carol Stream. It consists of a 25-yard, 8-lane lap pool and a therapy pool. Two lap lanes are designated to lap swim during regular operating hours.

Swim lessons and swim team practices are in the 25-yard lap pool. The Dolphins Swim Team also host all of their home swim meets at the Fountain View Recreation Center.

Bring your family to Fountain View for fun in the water during designated open swim hours or purchase a lap swim membership.

Only all-inclusive fitness center members have access to towels. Lap Swim members should bring own, personal towel.

Rules & Regulations

  1. Children under 9 years of age will not be admitted to the pool area unless accompanied by a person at least 16 years of age.
  2. Admission to the pool shall be refused to all persons having any contagious disease, infectious conditions, such as colds, fevers, ringworm, foot infections, skin lesions, diarrhea, vomiting, inflamed eyes, ear discharges, or any other condition which has the appearance of being infectious.
  3. Persons with excessive sunburn, abrasions which have not healed, corn plasters, bunion pads, adhesive tapes, rubber bandages or other bandages of any kind shall also be refused admittance.
  4. A person under the influence of alcohol or exhibiting erratic behavior shall not be permitted in the pool area.
  5. The pool water is not suitable for drinking. Avoid swallowing pool water.
  6. Littering is prohibited. In addition, no food, drink, gun, or tobacco is allowed in the natatorium.
  7. Glass containers are prohibited.
  8. All persons are encouraged to take a shower before entering the pool area.
  9. Personal conduct within the pool facility must be such that the safety of self and other is not jeopardized. No running, boisterous or rough play, except supervised water sports is permitted.
  10. Only clean footwear, baby strollers with locking wheels, or wheelchairs are allowed in the pool area or bathhouse.
  11. Spitting, spouting of water, blowing the nose or otherwise introducing contaminants into the pool is not permitted.
  12. Glass, soap, or other materials which might create hazardous conditions or interfere with efficient operation of the swimming pool shall not be permitted in the swimming pool or on the pool deck.
  13. All apparel worn in the pool shall be clean.
  14. All children who are not toilet-trained shall wear tightly fitting rubber or plastic pants. Diaper changing is not permitted on the pool deck. Locker rooms are equipped with diaper changing stations.
  15. Diving in water less than five feet deep is not permitted.
  16. Caution shall be exercised in the use of diving facilities.
  17. Lifeguards are responsible for enforcing safety rules and responding to emergencies.
  18. Parents or guardians should supervise their children.
  19. No one should swim alone.
  20. Cell phones may not be used in the locker room and rest room areas.
  21. Swim suits with floatation devices inserted or attached are not permitted.
  22. Prolonged under water breath holding is prohibited.
  23. Smoking is not allowed on park district property.
  24. The park district is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
  25. Please inform Pool Management staff if you wish to use a video or standard camera.
  26. The park district reserves the right to revoke any passes as well as suspend individuals paying daily admissions, if there are continual violations of facility rules.
  27. The park district does not provide individual health and accident insurance.
  28. The Pool Management has the authority to implement and enforce rules that are more stringent or that supplement those listed here.

 

Diving Board Rules

  1. Use caution when diving. Head and neck injuries can result from improper diving.
  2. Only one person on the diving board at a time.
  3. Single-bounce only.
  4. Do not move fulcrum.
  5. Make sure diving area is clear of swimmers before diving.
  6. Wait for previous diver to clear to a safe distance.
  7. Dive straight off the board.
  8. Do not swim under diving board.
  9. No lifejackets on diving board.
  10. No goggles on diving board.
  11. Report potential safety concerns to pool staff.

 

Viewing Area Rules

  1. No cell phone use permitted.
  2. No food or drink permitted.
  3. Please inform pool staff if you wish to record photos or videos.
  4. Parents, guardians, or chaperones are responsible for supervising their children.
  5. Lifeguards are on duty to enforce rules and respond in case of an emergency.
