Mandatory Masking
The governor is placing the entire state of Illinois under a mandatory mask mandate effective Aug. 30, 2021. This mandate requires all individuals over the age of 2, regardless of vaccination status, to wear a mask in indoor public settings for the indefinite future. While the state has not yet published the new executive order, we anticipate it will be similar to executive orders previously issued mandating the use of masks when indoors.

We are updating our signage for the entrances of our buildings indicating this requirement.

All staff and participants in our programs will be required to wear masks while in park district buildings and programs. In addition, participants attending programs being held in our local schools are required to wear masks while indoors at these schools.

The Carol Stream Park District will be monitoring the District for any COVID cases and exposures. If we need to make any additional changes, we will update our guidelines as soon as possible.

For more information on the updated mask recommendation, visit the IDPH website
