Update: 7/2/2020

Welcome back to your park district as we slowly reopen amenities and programs. We have been working diligently to ensure the health and safety of all participants and staff as we return to our facilities and programs. Staff has been making plans in accordance with the State’s Restore Illinois Plan.

Since entering Phase 4 of the plan, we are excited to be able to offer more programs and sports. The following list is just a snapshot so you can see what’s coming up. Look for our new DIGITAL Activity Guide for July and August activities around July 7-8. Email info@csparks.org to be placed on the email list or friend us on Facebook to get the post with link.

On July 6 we reopen the Fountain View Fitness Center to members with modified hours and guidelines. Group fitness classes are limited to assure proper cleaning time in between and social distancing. And we have expectations for our members. View video from the Fitness Center Division Manager, Brian Kucharski, to see your modified fitness center. The Indoor lap pool will open to members with a reservation. The Warm Water Therapy pool will also open, although classes are not scheduled at this time.

Playgrounds have reopened! Please follow social distancing guidelines. Parks and trails have remained open for walking, jogging and biking. The following amenities were opened at the end of Phase 3:

  • Bark Park
  • Basketball Hoops
  • Bocce Courts at Barbara O’Rahilly Volunteer Park and Slepicka Park
  • Horizon Park Disc Golf
  • Inline Skate Court at Armstrong Park
  • Skate Park at Hampe Park

In addition, we are offering the following services and special programs in a “modified” manner with safety measures and protocols in place:

  • Awesome Adventure Summer Camp
  • Coyote Crossing Mini Golf

To see modifications being made to specific programs, such as Awesome Adventure Camp, Coyote Crossing Mini Golf, or Fountain View Fitness Center, go to those webpages at csparks.org.

The Simkus Recreation Center is reopening for in-person registration on July 6 between the hours of 10 am and 2 pm. Come through the front door and be sure to have a face covering. Otherwise, the Simkus Recreation Center will ONLY be open for Awesome Adventure Camp and weekend indoor 3-on-3 basketball leagues at this time.

Our Park District Team is prepared to adjust and make appropriate changes as are required in Phase 4-Revitalization. We are planning to bring back room rentals at the Simkus Recreation Center and rentals of park pavilions for groups of less than 50. We’re taking reservations now.

The Carol Stream Park District is here for your recreation needs. We will continue to work hard to keep the parks and trails clean, modify summer events and programs where possible, and continue to provide memorable experiences for your family this summer.

If you still have questions, give a call at 630-784-6100 or email us at info@csparks.org and we’ll respond. We are excited to have you back, and thank you for your support!
