Park District board members joined village and county officials on Thursday, Feb 16, for a Brick Breaking Ceremony at Armstrong Park. The event marked the official start of DuPage County’s Klein Creek Stormwater Management Plan, which will help reduce flooding in Armstrong Park.

Brenda Gramann, Park Board President, and Brian Sokolowski, Park Board Vice President, received Distinctive Board Member Awards in January from the Illinois Association of Park Districts (IAPD). The commissioners received the honor as part of the IAPD Board Member Development Program.
