The Carol Stream Park District proudly presents its popular theatre program for kids ages 6 to 17. We’ve grown to four performances, two casts, twice a year! We’ve amazed parents, friends and guests with acting, dance and song in a repertoire that includes Disney’s Mary Poppins, Lion King, Seussical, Aladdin, Mulan, High School Musical, Frozen and more! Additionally, we are proud to introduce Small Fall which will include ages 10 to adult! Residents and nonresidents welcome.

Summer 2024 Production- Shrek

Beauty is in the eye of the ogre in Shrek The Musical JR., based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film and fantastic Broadway musical. It’s a “big bright beautiful world” as everyone’s favorite ogre, Shrek, leads a cast of fairytale misfits on an adventure to rescue a princess and find true acceptance. Part romance and part twisted fairy tale, Shrek JR. is an irreverently fun show with a powerful message for the whole family.

Be careful what you wish for, as Stephen Sondheim’s and James Lapine’s cockeyed fairytale comes to life in this adaptation of their groundbreaking, Tony Award-winning musical. Into the Woods JR. features all of your favorite characters — Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack (and his beanstalk) and the Witch — in this lyrically rich retelling of classic Brothers Grimm fable
